Restaurant Sarfalik Fisk og Skaldyr, located on top of Hotel Hans Egede, is an exciting experience based on good local ingredients that local fishermen can deliver throughout the seasons. With inspiration from France and Italy, among others, we have created a new concept that is primarily based on the best from the fjord and the sea around us, served in cozy and relaxing surroundings with an exciting taste experience that does not have to cost a fortune.

Sarfalik is the Greenlandic word for a stream site and in Greenland there are an incredible number of them. In Greenland there is a tidal difference of up to 4-5 meters and the entire coastline is filled with countless fjords and archipelagos, which together create the perfect framework for the formation of stream sites. If you look at a map of any part of the country, you will see countless places that bear some form of the name Sarfalik, and often you will see that in the vicinity there are old settlements, settlements or other signs of human activity. A stream site is, in other words, a large pantry, where the fishing opportunities and the type of game animals vary depending on the season. That is why we have chosen the name Sarfalik Fisk og Skaldyr, for a restaurant that reflects the seasonal catch.
